"Theater is a reflection of humanity."
The Falcon Playhouse is the theatre program at Scripps Ranch High School in San Diego, California. The Falcon Playhouse was founded in 2013 by a small group of passionate students who fought to have a theatre program at SRHS. Since then, it has grown tremendously in number and in the scale of productions.
Students can take classes focused on acting or technical theatre during the school day where they learn the skills required to work in a professional environment, and participate in after school productions where they gain experience and apply what they've learned.
The program is lead by a student board, designed to mirror that of a professional theatre company. Under the guidance of theatre teacher and artistic director Patrick Garcia, they select shows, organize events, and keep the playhouse running. The Playhouse is focused on creating excellent theatre rather than just "high school theatre" and providing students with a safe space to express themselves and grow.

In addition to a full season of theatre productions, the Falcon Playhouse also provides a summer intensive course series, and is home to an Improv club.
